You know that problem of rail not wanting to align on a block or module partition? Due to temperature and flexibility in bonding, rails can lose their alignment due to movement.
These solderable sleepers are perfect for any module crossing, block crossing or detector separation. By replacing the existing sleepers for these solderable MidiBielz, you have the option of fixing the railz, and preventing track spalling.
The MidiBielz scale H0 is specially designed for RocoLine and Tillig Elite, but with padding can also be used for other brands. The thickness of the MidiBielz is 2 mm.
How do the sleepers work?
The steps are very simple:
Step 1: Remove the sleepers from under the rails
Step 2: Position the MidiBielz under the rails
Step 3: Solder the rails to the MidiBielz
Step 4: Glue the MidiBielz to the base
Step 5: After curing, cut the rails at the separation.
Module transition: Place a MidiBielz on each module, so you use 2 per transition!
Block transition: You can use 1 MidiBielz, then grind both rails halfway through the MidiBielz and also grind the MidiBielz.
Section transition: You can use 1 MidiBielz, then cut the relevant rail halfway through the MidiBielz and also cut the MidiBielz.
After cutting, always use a multimeter to ascertain whether the separation has actually been interrupted far enough!
Tip for bonding:
By gluing the MidiBielz with Epoxy Glue (2 components) you ensure yourself a strong bond between the MidiBielz and the substrate. Epoxy glue is not sensitive to moisture, a problem if you apply ballast between the rails afterwards. Moisture will cause the glue to loosen again and may cause the MidiBielz to move out of position through the rails. When using Epoxy Glue, the MidiBielz will not loosen during ballasting or hot temperatures.
