The function of feedback modules
Feedback modules send the information from the track occupancy detector, whether there is a vehicle in the track sections that they are monitoring, to the connected devices (eg IB switch) or a computer control program. These automatically execute the switching command that has been saved for this feedback. This can be the switching of an article with a single magnet or an entire route.
The 2-wire feedback modules consist of an occupied detector, a feedback unit and a voltage monitor. The presence detectors monitor the entrances to the track. The current monitor registers any current in the separation section that is greater than 3 mA. This recognizes locomotives, lighted cars and guide shafts. Voltage monitoring prevents a defective clear signal when the voltage is switched off. The 3-wire version uses an isolated and separate rail side that is connected to the signaling module and connected to the ground via the conductive axes of the vehicles. The feedback unit reports any status change "free" or "busy" via the LocoNet to the control center and to other LocoNet devices.
Unlike other bus systems, LocoNet is used to send information such as: as feedback, extremely reliable and reliable. The address is set via a programming button, via the programming menu of the Intellibox or, very comfortably, via the LocoNet Tool software.
