The LocoNet switching module is a switching and magnetic article decoder and switches up to 10 points or switches up to 10 light signals - also multi-functional with slow fade-in and fade-out or switches up to 20 lights on your system. And that too mixed on a module.
Our LocoNet switch module is a universal genius. A single module that lets you do all the switching on your system. You can use the switching module to switch lights, switches, uncoupling tracks, shape signals, light signals, effect lighting and St. Andrew's crosses. All these switching tasks can be distributed as desired to the 20 switching outputs.
We put special emphasis on the faithful control of light signals. The switching module switches up to 4-term main signals and pre-signals. And the highlight of the signal control is the crossfade function. The light change happens if you want, not hard, but it is blended smoothly from one to the other signal image.
Also, St. Andrew's crosses and other effect lighting are no problem. With a blink generator and the crossfade function, you can realize a prototypical St. Andrew's cross. Or combine both flashing generators into a switchable, defective street lamp.
With the 20 switching outputs of the module, you can operate up to ten points, five multipoint signals or 20 switching functions. Each output can be loaded with up to 1 A, but the total load must not exceed 3 A.
The LocoNet switch module is powered by a separate transformer and does not burden the LocoNet or the digital center.
The LocoNet switching module has a common positive pole for all consumers. It is not possible to connect motorized turnout drives or light signals with a common negative pole. Motorized point drives require an operating voltage with alternating polarity. The solution is the polarity exchanger. Connected to the LocoNet switching module, it provides four outputs with a common negative terminal. Here you can connect two light signals. The polarity exchanger is also a polarity change. Thus, the connection of motorized turnout drives nothing stands in the way. Up to five polarity exchangers fit a LocoNet switch module.
