Building on the immense success of our YD9401 upgrade for the DR5000, we have decided to release a complete command station, the YD7010, which incorporates the proven YD7001 technology and YD9401 network module. The command station is based on the technology used in our YD7001-E, but with a completely redesigned motherboard, with improved component selection and PCB layout to provide robustness and extended functionality. Of course, the YD7010 comes with our YD9401 pre-installed. Furthermore, we have improved some visual and usability aspects: Different colours for the RJ connectors, which were easy to confuse when they were all grey. Now the XBus and network connectors have different colours than the ES-Link/s88N, LocoNet and BBus connectors. On the front, we have moved the GO and STOP LEDs so that they line up with all the LEDs and this prevents touching and/or damaging the LEDs when operating the pushbuttons. At the rear, we placed the RS-Bus and Program-Track connections in one 4-way block. This effectively prevents the connection terminals from rotating and, in the worst case, sliding off! The YD7010 is intended as an entry-level, yet very complete and versatile DCC command station.
